There's never been a more important time to think about sustainable and ethical fashion. With climate change being labelled as a 'code red' for the planet, and mass overproduction filling our planet with unnecessary waste, fast fashion brands are coming under fire for their unethical practices.

Although the most sustainable wardrobe is the one you already own, sometimes your wardrobe deserves a refresh. Everyone from the royals to major celebrities are recycling, reusing, and shopping from small businesses to change the future of fashion forever.

We've rounded up some of the very best eco-friendly fashion finds, which you can shop straight from the comfort of your sofa. From M&S and Boden, to ASOS, Omnes and H&M, shop our favourite sustainable fashion brands...

H&M

H&M's Conscious Choice label is the one to look for when shopping the high street giant - it calls out the pieces that are made with a higher percentage of materials that have less impact on the environment.

Each Conscious choice labelled product contains at least 50% of more sustainable materials — like organic cotton or recycled polyester — with some containing more. You'll find the green label across all H&M departments, too.

Omnes

Omnes are making waves in the fashion industry for their on-trend, stylish designs that are all created with sustainability at the forefront. The brand uses materials that are long-lasting, upcycle fabric offcuts and ensure all suppliers are audited and sustainable too.

Baukjen x Oxfam 

For a fourth year Baukjen has partnered up with Oxfam and 50% of net proceeds from sales of their 'Pre-Loved Collection' are donated to a selection of women’s charities.

Girlfriend Collective at John Lewis

John Lewis has compiled a list of the best sustainable fashion brands on their website and newcomer 'Girlfriend Collective' specialises in making activewear from recycled materials ‘because trash looks better on you than it does polluting the planet’. The collection of leggingsshorts and sports bras are functional for a work-out and comfortable enough to wear every day.

M&S

M&S are committed to sourcing 100% of the cotton they use in clothing from more sustainable sources, with the majority through the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). The BCI initiative helps farmers to increase profits and reduce their water usage.

Mango

Mango has announced its commitment to designing more sustainable products, with eco-friendly packaging and less textile waste.

Boden
