The Norwegian royal family got into the spirit of Christmas this week as they got together for their annual Christmas photoshoot. King Harald of Norway and his wife Queen Sonja were joined by their son Crown Prince Haakon, his wife Mette-Marit and their three children Marius Borg Hoiby, Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus, in keeping with tradition to snap the family's Christmas card. Mette-Marit, 41, and the 77-year-old queen take seats for the photograph while the gentleman and children stand behind them. The royal ladies, both in traditional Norwegian dress, can be seen beaming at the camera.
The men of the family are handsome in suits, with the king and prince donning ties for the moment, while Marius – Mette-Marit's eldest child from her previous marriage – wears his crisp white shirt open at the collar. A beautifully adorned Christmas tree decorated with golden baubles and red bows stands tall next to the royals. Another photograph shows Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus living many little childrens' dream as they admire a larger-than-life gingerbread house and offer their grandmother a cookie.
